Nederland ISD becomes first Trillion network customer in Texas.
AUSTIN , TEXAS - Trillion ("Trillion") announced the commencement of high speed Internet and network services for Nederland Independent School District. The network is the first operational network in Texas resulting from Trillion's recently announced expansion to several western states. Trillion constructed and implemented a broadband wireless backbone interconnecting the district's school and administration offices and providing a high speed connection to the Internet. Trillion's service is bundled with a portal, email, network routing, filtering and firewall services.
"Nederland ISD is quite proud of its distinction as the first Texas wireless WAN installation by Trillion," said Carolyn Worsham, Director of Instructional Technology for Nederland ISD.
"After a careful analysis of our needs, the company proposed a cost-effective solution for district connectivity, Internet access, and other network services. Trillion honored its commitment to install a high-speed network in a highly professional manner," said Ms. Worsham.
The network provides Nederland ISD with a state of the art, high speed network putting the district on the forefront of technology capabilities. The network is capable of delivering the full range of broadband voice, video and data services for students, teachers and administrators.
Cindy Laird, who is assuming the Director of Instructional Technology starting in July added "I was very impressed with the knowledge base and resources the Trillion team brought with them. The successful installation and migration to our new high-speed network was a result of their expertise and teamwork."
