AUSTIN , TEXAS – June 15, 2004 - Trillion announced today that it has joined the WiMAX Forum™, a non-profit corporation formed to help promote the IEEE 802.16 standard, often referred to as “WiMAX.” Trillion is the first broadband service provider with a focus on the public sector to join the WiMAX Forum. The purpose of the WiMAX Forum is to promote deployment of broadband wireless access networks by using a global standard and certifying interoperability of products and technologies. The WiMAX Forum is comprised of industry leaders who are committed to the open interoperability of all products used for broadband wireless access.
"We are pleased Trillion is joining the WiMAX Forum and investing their confidence in the future of 802.16," said WiMAX Forum President Ron Resnick.
