Inside Sales Representative
JOB DESCRIPTION
Trillion is seeking an eager, tenacious and highly motivated individual that is comfortable with technology and passionate about education! The ideal candidate will have a proven track record driving results by working with upper and mid level executives on the phone, as well as facilitating strategic relationships between prospects, partners and sales team members.
The Trillion Inside Sales Department (ISD) is starting its second blockbuster year serving the critical role of helping Trillion understand the buying intentions of its target markets, uncovering solid opportunities for regional managers and identifying industry trends. This particular position will provide front end sales cycle territory coverage in the K-12 education market offering wireless and fiber broadband, internet access and VoIP telephony services.
Headquartered in Austin, TX, Trillion is the leading national provider of Priority 1 E-Rate eligible services for wireless wide area networks and voice services in K-12 schools nationwide. We serve 1,500 sites and manage networks to help schools deliver better educational outcomes for 500,000+ students.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify potential education partners (customers) through a variety of means including:
- Outbound cold calling to K-12 districts using high quality lists created by Trillion’s Database manager
- Reviewing E-Rate filings submitted by districts looking for technology services
- Following up on responses to marketing programs and website leads
- Following up on leads generated by our technology partners
- Execute developed strategies and processes in order to pursue and convert potential education partners into real prospects for outside sales team
- Identify opportunities to open new markets through lead management and tracking
- Provide a profile of all accounts in our target market by identifying potential education partners’ buying disposition
- Territory potential education partner identification and research in conjunction with field sales and territory lead generation
- Track prospect profile data and contacts/communications in SalesForce.com
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- At least 3 years proven outbound inside sales experience – Uncovering technology opportunities via research and prospecting.
- Team “Enterprise” seller – Ability to sell in a politically charged environment. Equally comfortable selling to IT as he/she is selling to business executives. Selling in a team environment is also a must.
- Education market background – It is preferred that this person is passionate about K-12 education Preference for someone who has sold a managed service to schools and is familiar with the E-rate cycle and selling within this business cycle
- Telecom or networking background – This person must be comfortable understanding and/or eager to learn about technology, bandwidth, phone systems, etc and how to convey the business advantage to prospects.
- Someone who lives the Trillion Value System
- Current and valid drivers license
EDUCATION
- Bachelors degree
