Headquartered in Austin, TX, Trillion is the leading national provider of Priority 1 E-Rate eligible services for wireless wide area networks and voice services in K-12 schools nationwide. We serve 1,500 sites and manage networks to help schools deliver better educational outcomes for 500,000+ students.
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will meet or exceed sales objectives of the assigned territory by promoting and selling Trillion services (WAN, INET, IP Centrex, IP Telephony, etc) to a select number of new and existing K-12 school district accounts using professional sales techniques, developing long-term customer relationships, and applying the values upheld by Trillion.
Position Responsibilities
- Meeting and exceeding set sales quotas including: ability to identify, build, and manage a pipeline of $40 million in K-12 opportunities while maintaining a minimum 25% closing ratio.
- Defining and executing territory sales plans and following-up on all leads. Preparing and presenting sales presentations to new and existing accounts.
- Ongoing account management, including acting as an account liaison during construction and installation phase.
- Positioning Trillion as a technology leader with targeted K-12 School district Superintendents, CFO’s, Technology Directors, and Curriculum Directors.
- Assisting in contract negotiations and post sale documentation.
- Reviewing published RFP’s and assisting in the preparation of RFP responses.
- Effectively using Salesforce.com (CRM) to manage all sales and customer information.
- Maintaining knowledge of competition, competitive issues, and products.
- Attending and participating in sales meetings, product seminars, and trade shows.
- Conducting thorough analysis of customer requirements to build a custom solution.
- Work with all departments as a large team to best serve prospects and customers.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Regional General Manager to enhance the overall business success of Trillion.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- 5+ years’ proven sales experience. Educational technology industry and/or complex solution telecommunication/software sales industries preferred.
- Successful achievement of exceeding annual sales quotas selling enterprise solutions.
- Knowledge of WAN/LAN transport networks and systems.
- Knowledge of IP telecommunications infrastructure and hardware, IP Telephony and PBX phone systems.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screen.
- Must have a current valid driver’s license and excellent driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in last 3 years, no DUI or DWI convictions).
- Work virtually while residing in the territory needed.
- Must have dependable transportation that can be used for company travel.
- Strong PC skills and Internet skills.
- Must be capable of managing all job responsibilities from virtual home office.
- Ability to travel 2-3+ days a week developing and managing assigned sales territory.
